ChargeUps only works when Hosts and Drivers treat each other and each other's property with respect. These guidelines apply to everyone using the Service.
For Drivers
- Arrive within your booked window and leave promptly when it ends.
- Follow any parking or access instructions the Host provides.
- Handle the charger cable and plug carefully. Report any damage before you leave.
- Keep conversations respectful — messages are for coordinating your booking.
For Hosts
- Keep your charger safe, in good working order, and installed to New Zealand standards.
- List accurate details: charger type, kW output, and honest photos.
- Provide clear access and safety instructions for Drivers.
- Respond promptly to booking requests and messages.
Zero tolerance
Harassment, discrimination, threats, theft, or intentional damage will result in immediate removal from ChargeUps. Report unsafe behaviour through the Support option in your profile.
In an emergency
